Traffic Pattern Change: Indian Creek Drive and 69 Street

Begins Wednesday, April 1, 2026

The City of Miami Beach will implement a temporary traffic pattern change on Indian Creek Drive and 69 Street starting Wednesday, April 1 to support the 69 Street pump station construction.

Street parking on northbound Indian Creek Drive from Byron Avenue to Carlyle Avenue will be removed to create an additional active northbound travel lane. Southbound lanes will shift east to avoid the work zone and steel plate coverings.

Work will take place Monday–Friday from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. to minimize traffic impacts. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.

Please see the map below for details. Areas highlighted in red show restricted parking and the work zone. Areas highlighted in green show the adjusted traffic flow.

What to Expect:

  • Moderate levels of construction noise
  • Restricted parking between Byron Avenue and Carlyle Avenue
  • Reduced traffic speeds through the work zone
